Large police cordon as woman's body found at King's Mill Reservoir

A police investigation is now under way

A large police cordon is in place around King’s Mill Reservoir following the discovery of a woman’s body.

Police were called to the site in Sutton-in-Ashfield just after 11am on Wednesday, 7 May, after a woman was spotted in the water, Nottinghamshire Police said.

An investigation is now under way and the force said her death was being treated as “unexplained”.

Detective Inspector James Oakton added: "As our investigation into this incident continues, we would like to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything out of the ordinary in the area over the past few days."
