Government assurance needed over school building developments
Nottinghamshire County Council bosses have written to the new Secretary of State for Education to seek assurances over funding in the county.
The authority is to invest millions of pounds in expanding secondary schools, school building improvement projects and to create 350 new school places for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
The Department for Education had agreed funding before the general election to create a new 160-place special school in Nottinghamshire.
Government support had also been approved for a number of school building projects, including four in Ashfield, which are yet to start.
