New housing development approved
A new housing estate can be built on the outskirts of an Ashfield town, despite fears it will create major traffic problems.
Planners have approved the creation of 38 properties, along with public open space, for land opposite Church Hill, off Mill Lane in Kirkby-in-Ashfield.
The developer said the properties will “enhance and improve the perception of the area”, adding that the scheme is “inclusive of high quality public open spaces which facilitate potential community interaction and opportunities for people to meet”.
