Police issue CCTV in break-in probe
Nottinghamshire Police is appealing for help in locating a man wanted in connection with an attempted break-in at a property in Brinsley.
Officers are trying to trace 48-year-old Lee Jones in connection with an incident in Broad Lane on 17 May 2024.
CCTV footage captured two intruders checking the property for security weaknesses at around 4pm that afternoon.
Detective Constable Francesca Brandreth, from Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We have been working tirelessly to track down this suspect and are now asking for the public’s help in locating him.
“If you have seen Lee Jones or have any information about his whereabouts, please contact us immediately."
Information can be shared directly with the police or confidentially through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Fines as address discovered in fly tip
A £400 fine was given to an individual whose address was found in a box which was fly-tipped in Nottinghamshire.
The resident, who has not been named, did not carry out proper checks before hiring someone to dispose of their waste, according to Ashfield District Council.
A large load of waste was discovered in Blenheim Lane, Hucknall, and was investigated by a community protection officer, who found an address hidden in a box.
Residents have a Household Duty of Care to check the person they hire has the correct license when arranging for waste to be disposed of.
This was not done in this case and the resident was given a £400 Fixed Penalty Notice.
The resident provided details of the individual they hired to pick up their waste.
They were given a £600 FPN and reported to the Environment Agency.
