‘Deep regret’ as company enters administration
Officials at an Ashfield soft furnishings firm have made the “incredibly difficult” decision to enter administration after almost 40 years in business.
Home Curtains UK, which was founded in 1986 and based in Sutton-in-Ashfield, says it has been severely impacted by rising costs and a downturn in consumer spending.
Dean Nelson, of PKF Smith Cooper, is to be appointed as the administrator, and efforts are under way to explore options to secure the best possible outcome for the company’s stakeholders.
A spokesperson for Home Curtains UK said: “It is with great regret that we announce that Home Curtains UK Limited is to shortly enter Administration.
“This decision has been incredibly difficult and not taken lightly, and like many businesses in the retail and home furnishings sector, we have been deeply affected by the rising costs of trade and reduction in consumer discretionary spending.
